Lead and Asbestos Abatement Services

Lead Abatement and Encapsulation

Let Graham Industrial assist in mitigating the many hazards associated with Lead and Asbestos containing materials.  We have proven capability on large containment, abatement, and encapsulation projects.  Our engineering and administrative systems are designed to prevent fugitive release of these harmful substances into the environment, protect our workers and the public.  We help our clients navigate the proper planning, mitigation, reporting, and disposal of lead and asbestos containing substrates.

The primary Lead Hazard in the construction industry is encountered in old lead-containing paint.  Lead was an effective but harmful paint pigment and has been widely banned since 1978.

Asbestos was widely used in construction materials until the late 1970’s.  It’s heat-stable and fire-resistant qualities made it an ideal additive to building insulation, roofing, siding, flooring, pipe insulation, plaster, and adhesives.

Lead and Asbestos are both very harmful pathogens that damage the nervous system, and pose a significant health risk to construction workers and the general public.  Graham Industrial has trained and certified personnel for both abating and encapsulating these old construction materials.  Let us assist you in the proper planning and execution of this hazardous work.
